Volunteering
on the farms is open to all members. Our greatest need for help
is on harvest days; Tuesdays, Thursday afternoons and
Fridays. We may need help on other days of the week for
special projects, which will be announced via the newsletter, at
pick-up locations or through the CSA listserve. Volunteers
can also help us at farmers markets and distribution sites.
All volunteering must be pre-arranged with the farmer at least 2 days
in advance, so we know how much help to expect.

At this point, these are
the farms that will be growing crops for us. As the season
progresses, there may be other farms participating.
There will be a sign-up sheet at each farm. You must log your hours each time you volunteer.
You will be credited at the rate of $3.00 per hour. We cannot
compensate volunteers beyond the value of a share (192 hours).
At the end of the season, you can choose how to apply your credit:
- Receive a refund for credited hours.
-
Apply any portion or all of your credited hours to the Medora Harvest Fund. (Tax deductible)
-
Apply any portion or all of
your credited hours to a no-interest loan fund to assist farmers
with the purchase of needed equipment.
-
Apply any portion of
your credited hours to an educational development fund. This
fund will help cover the cost of sending our farmers to conferences,
workshops, and field days or for bringing experts here.
