". . . I just wanted to say what a glorious experience it has been to be a member of your CSA and to receive all those vegetables that are both healthful and beautiful.  I know you have worked very hard on doing this for all of us and I believe that a very big THANK YOU is in order.

Belonging to your CSA has been a whole lifestyle for me.  The regular trips to the Lewes Farmers' Market, the new varieties of vegetables to try, receiving old standby veggies (like carrots and beets) that I wouldn't normally think to buy, sharing them with our daughter, cooking the vegetables with the simple yet delicious recipes in /Simply in Season/, and enjoying, enjoying, enjoying.  I'm torn between wanting to tell everyone I meet what a great deal and experience this has been and wanting to keep it secret so I can be assured of membership next year.

Using all of the vegetables we received has been an effort for me.  Hours of chopping, dicing and cooking.  But now, as the season closes, I have some great memories in the freezer from this summer bounty. 

Your viewpoint on farm subsidies (in an early newsletter) was an eye-opener.  I never realized that this Federal help wasn't going where it would help the most to build an important local food supply for all Americans.  Since the Farm Subsidy Bill is now being discussed, my next email will be to our representatives in Congress to ask why this is.

I hope you will continue to operate this CSA, though not as principal grower, and that space on your client list will continue to expand.  Let me know how I can help.  Thank you again for a great year."
